Expectations of Fellows

Expectations of Fellows
- Produce an engaging data-driven project before November 2023 (expected work volume: >80 hours) and report on progress regularly to your Tableau support person and your EM2030 focal point
- The projects should incorporate your Tableau skills and the EM2030 Index data in some way and should showcase your data journalism skills and be highly visible in your country.
- They can be a series of articles on a given topic, an interactive app, a data-driven investigation, or another journalistic product that we haven’t thought of yet
- Publish your project or side product in online or print media.
- Participate in self-led courses, virtual convenings with other Fellows, at least two meeting with EM2030 national partners in Colombia or Guatemala (as relevant), regular dialogues with your Tableau support person and EM2030 focal point, and the final presentation
- Participate in conference panels or other events, if relevant opportunities arise
- Communicate about your participation in the program (e.g. through blog posts or sharing on social media).
- Work in a positive and respectful way with other participants.
- Complete a program evaluation questionnaire and short interview at the end, to support our learning for future programs
